His experience spans all aspects of ecommerce with significant time spent in site merchandising and digital marketing. Nick is fluent in strategy development, customer experience optimization, product management, content development, integrated planning and post-purchase fulfillment in both omni-channel, DTC, and marketplace environments.
Nick has a passion for building and growing best in class teams and can work within a matrix or direct reporting framework. A strong and passionate consensus builder, he is able to garner the internal support and momentum required to bring challenging projects and initiatives to life.
John McDonnell is an Industry Executive Advisor for the Wholesale Distribution Industry and has been with SAP for more than 10 years. He helps lead industry development activities with SAP’s Wholesale Distribution community of customers. He works with businesses in the industry to develop transformation strategies, identify business process optimization and innovation opportunities and is committed to support them on their overall success.
Prior to joining SAP, John was at Grainger where he led several initiatives to enable their multi-channel strategies. He also worked at Transora, a business to business marketplace, working with the leading Consumer Products and Retailers.
John is based in Chicago. He and his wife, Laura, have four children (Colleen, Sean, Reilly and Brigit). John went to undergrad at Indiana University and to DePaul University for his MBA.
